confession. i absolutely adore romantic comedies. rom-coms. something about their predictability, witty banter and shameless flirting between co-stars, and corny endings warms me to the core. now, i know they're intended to provoke these types of feelings, and as much as i try to resist, i enjoy every minute of it. wouldn't it be fun to make these movies? i think so. . .

i like moments in life that feel like they should be part of a movie, perhaps a romantic comedy or something else. sometimes, when i walk home from school and the sun is shining, listening to the perfect song, it feels like a movie moment. one time, when evan and i were still dating, he made one of the greatest movie moments for me, one that will go down in history. . .

to set the scene, our "song" during dating was clark gable. if you're unfamiliar with the song, there is a line that says, "i kissed you in a style clark gable would have admired, i thought it classic." obviously a cute and endearing line. so we're leaving tacoma and this song comes on as we're getting on the freeway. as we get to this part of the song, evan pulls the car over to the shoulder abruptly, takes my face in his hands, and kisses me. the kind of kiss that freezes everything around you. needless to say, it was perfect.

i love life movie moments. share some with me.

nannying has been going pretty well lately. we have good days and bad days, but for the most part, i'd say will and i are getting along very well. our weeks are scheduled out for swimming, play dates, piano and chess club with little free time. when we do have free time though, will loves to play chess. i cannot understand the game for the life of me and don't really care to . . . but this is one of the first obstacles that i have to overcome. i can't bare to have a 7 year old beat me much more.

last week, while taking a stroll on queen anne, i smelled the first signs of spring. everything in me wishes it were spring already. . . sun, warmth, my birthday. it's just around the corner and i am too excited. i am just tired of waking up to the dreary weather of winter. cold, windy and nasty. i just want to feel the sun on my bare shoulders and break out my rainbow sandals.

this is a cute little website that gives creative ideas of things to do about town. i just stumbled across it today, but i will be referring back to it often to find out sweet things about seattle. plus, the little artwork is delightful and fun.
