my dear brother john and his beautiful fiance katie are having a little baby boy, logan, TOMORROW. i cannot contain my excitement at this point. it feels like christmas eve and we're getting a little baby! i think this is so exciting to me because it's john, and he's so cute and affectionate with little things, like puppies, so for him to have a baby, this is going to be great. i love new additions to the family. so please pray for katie, that the birth goes smoothly and everyone is safe throughout. i will post pictures of the little bundle of joy once he is born! woo hoo!

evan's parents were generous to give us a year membership to the y. we are both really looking forward to getting in shape. . . this first 6 months of marriage have really done me in. of course, i will say, this has nothing to do with evan. he is a great cook, and tends to be more on the healthy side then me. i have a terrible sweet tooth and it's doin' me in. he's bulking up in hopes of becoming a firefighter. (which he's taking the written test for, RIGHT NOW! eek!) and i am hoping to get back to my highschool size. it feels great to be active. i will say just one thing. . . the y smells very funky. i can barely stand it. i do not like the smell of sweat. it grosses me out. this is something i will need to get over. especially in the eliptical room.

it's official. evan and i will soon begin planning a trip to ISRAEL.
in all honesty, we have absolutely no idea when this trip will ever happen, but it never hurts to to be prepared. i am going to start compiling a list of places to visit, sites to see, and things to do. my desire to travel is at an all time high right now because of the dreary winter weather. i've heard so many amazing and exciting things about israel, i can hardly contain myself. when, when, when will we go?! who knows. time to start saving though.

we have really been wanting a puppy lately. we cannot have one at our apartment and there would be nowhere to walk
the cute little thing, but it's been fun to look at them and think
about what we'd get if we had one. evan's allergic to cats, and
i was attacked by one as a kid so i'm not fond of them either. but. . .
we've narrowed it down. it'll be a girl, and it'll most likely
be a rottweiler or beagle. . . this probably won't be for some time
but it's fun to look at puppies. does anyone know of a good pet shop
that has puppies?

a fine frenzy. shameless plug for a wonderful new artist. i had heard her music while working at starbucks and thought she had a beautiful voice. i'd find myself humming the songs at home doing dishes and had to hear more. good stuff, i tell you. plus, she's a cute redhead from seattle. can't really go wrong there, can you? 22-yr-old alison sudol. she's good. have a listen. . . you will like it.1.03.2008
recent developments:
-obviously rung in the new year. (good thing cause only a few good things happened in 2007.)
-started school on wednesday. math, biology and spanish -- not going to be fun.
-will begin working out daily with evan so he can get bigger and i can get smaller.
-new nanny job. fun -- reading harry potter and playing with star wars legos.
-a new found love for the following shows:
-Arrested Development, because will arnett, jason bateman, and michael cera are brilliant.
-Flight of the Concords, because i can't get enough of those new zealand accents.
anyway, the holidays were fun and extremely busy, as i'm sure they were for everyone. good to see family and friends that we don't see often. sad to get back to a normal routine. sorry i don't have any resolutions... i can never seem to keep them so i find it pointless to make them.
